The Joinery Competition combines the fine woodworking skills of carpentry and cabinetmaking.  This year Skills Canada Alberta is hosting a Joinery Competition to profile the event to the many individuals from across Canada that will attend the competition and encourage them to host Joinery at the Skills Canada National Competition in future years.

Post-secondary students from Alberta will compete during the Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC), as a Presentation Event.  The medalist will be recognized at a ceremony on the competition floor on May 15.  This competition is not a qualifying event for Team Canada 2013.
