The Skills Canada Alberta Alumni program is open to all former Team Alberta competitors who have taken part in a National or WorldSkills Competition.

We want to stay connected, give you the opportunity to support future skills competitions, keep in touch with team members and be part of a club of exceptional people.

Resource for future Team Alberta Competitors

Being a past Team Alberta Competitor gives you the strong credibility to help mentor future competitors. By sharing your experiences you can guide and help them understand what to expect when they get to the National Competition.

Provincial Technical Committee Involvement

PTCs are in charge of the development, implementation and evaluation of each competition area at both the Regional and Provincial Competitions. Because of your experience as a competitor, you can help provide a valuable and ‘fresh’ perspective on the competition areas. From designing the actual project to being a judge, there are numerous roles in the PTCs that you can help fill.

Volunteer Opportunities

SCA produces various events throughout the year where volunteers are needed. From Cardboard Boat Races in the fall to Regional Skills Canada Competitions in the spring as well as our Provincial Competition in May, all these require volunteers. Roles and responsibilities include registration, competition set-up and tear-down, GETT Conference mentors and much more. Volunteering not only is a great way to show your support and give back but it also looks great on a resume!
