Teachers can register their school as a Skills School, to maximize opportunities for their students to learn more about trade and technology career opportunities. The first step for schools to participate in Skills Canada Alberta programs begins with becoming a Skills School. Schools do not have to be a Skills School to participate in a tour at the Provincial Skills Canada Competition. 

Registration as a Skills Schools is free, along with participation in a School Tour of the annual Provincial Skills Canada Competition.

Schools will be invoiced for an Entry Fee of $50 for each program in which they participate in to a maximum of $150 in a programming year (September to June):

• Cardboard Boat Races $10
• Girls Exploring Trades and Technologies Conference (GETT) $20
• Provincial Skills Canada Competition (competitors) $30
• School Tours are free
• Classroom presentations are free
