Electrical Wiring
Secondary competitor’s skills and knowledge to be tested:
• Interpreting and using basic electrical design & diagrams of a physical facility.
• Wiring a sub panel and various branch circuits using standard trade practices.
• Basic conduit bending including offsets, saddles, 90 degree bends and strapping.
• Determining adequate protection for equipment and components.
High School students are registered for the event by their teacher. Review the registration package and scopes for details.
Post-secondary competitor’s skills and knowledge to be tested:
• Interpreting and using basic electrical design & diagrams of a physical facility
• Wall mounting a panel and service equipment
• Wiring of a panel and devices using standard trade practices
• Determining adequate protection for equipment and components
• Demonstrate troubleshooting skills
Post-Secondary students are selected by Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training. Review the scope for details.
