A little info on Drew...
Drew Ziprick, our Education Coordinator will be touring the province to meet with students and teachers. Drew has an Education Degree from the University of Alberta; was a foreman in the Scaffolding industry; and has completed National Construction Safety Officer Training.
Given current and future demand for these positions within our country and particularly Alberta, we want students to have additional information about the careers in the trades to assist in their career planning. Our ultimate goal is to change the way students think about careers in the trades; that hands-on, well-paying work should be regarded as a first class career choice!
When booking a presentation please indicate the dates and times that would be ideal for Drew to meet with your students.
Drew is also available to be part of professional development days. The presentations are brought to schools, in partnership with Cenovus Energy. There are no fees associated with the presentations.
This is a great way of getting your students excited about upcoming competitions and career paths, share the excitement of the Skills Movement with your administration and encourage your school to support the talented students that participate in our Regional and Provincial Skills Canada Competitions.
