Girls Exploring Trades and Technologies Conference

Yesterday afternoon Alberta Health Services directed that all large gatherings of 250 people or more be suspended in an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the province. In light of this recommendation, it is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the cancellation of all planned Skills Canada Alberta programming for the Spring of 2020. This includes the Girls Exploring Trades and Technologies Conference. We hope to have you join us again 2021.

Are there young women in your school who would benefit from a fun-filled day of exploration, education, and empowerment?

Skills Canada Alberta is excited to present the 19th Annual GETT Conference! GETT highlights the various career opportunities available to young women in the trades and technologies and encourages girls to think outside the box and try new things. We want the young women in Alberta to have the courage to discover and develop their interests and talents in areas they are passionate about.

High School girls will hear from and interact with female Industry Influencers from various trade and technology backgrounds who have pursued a rewarding career. Their stories, experiences, and knowledge will motivate students to open their minds to the diverse career paths available in today's most dynamic industries.
