School Field Trip

Registration for the 2019 Provincial Skills Canada Competition will open in the fall of 2018.

Skills Canada Alberta invites all schools and youth groups to explore the Provincial Skills Canada Competition (PSCC) and the Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC) and Skill City, Alberta's largest and most interactive career exploration experience!

The field trips begin with visiting LAUNCH PAD, which in just 5 minutes transports students into a world of discovery. Students are encouraged to be curious and adventurous as they explore Skill City and the PSCC/SCNC.

Students can then explore the competition floor to watch our CENTRE STAGE presentations, try their hands at the interactive Try-A-Trades® and Try-A-Skills hosted by industry experts for career exploration, or cheer on some of the 700+ high school and post-secondary students competing in one of the 45 different trade and technology areas.

Schools can receive a $200 travel subsidy for attending the Provincial and/or $200 for up to two buses for the Skills Canada National Competition. Subsidy forms will be sent to you and submitted after your school has attended the competition. All subsidy forms are subject to approval by SCA or SCC.
