WorldSkills International

Every two years the WorldSkills International Competition brings together over 1000 competitors from across the world to raise the status and standards of vocational skills and training worldwide.

The next WorldSkills Competition will be held in 2019 in Kazan, Russia.

After competing in two Skills Canada competitions in 2018– the 2018 Provincial Skills Canada Competition (PSCC), and the Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC) – 12 of Alberta’s brightest young trade & technology students have been named Team Canada Prospects in 10 competition areas.

These skilled individuals will continue to train in their field and will once again compete head to head in a WorldSkills Team Canada Selection Event in 2019. The winners will be invited to join Team Canada and will represent our country at WorldSkills Kazan, 2019 in Russia.
