Retro Video Game Building with Microsoft
Did you know that the Minecraft was originally made by a single person? Get your feet wet in coding and video game design with a guided block-based coding activity in MakeCode Arcade. No coding experience is required, and you will leave with a playable game that can be shared with friends and family.
We will explore:
· Adding obstacles that cause a game over
· Adding enemies that disappear when jumped on
· Making the camera follow your character
· How to add additional levels using logic and variables
Participants will need internet access and a web browser. Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome are recommended. It is recommended to use a device with a keyboard.
Schools may register 1 class of 30 to start, and may request waitlist spots. To adjust your class size, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
