Countdown to 2022 Provincials:194 days

Skills Canada

Started in 1994, the Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC) remains the only event of its kind in Canada. It is the only national, Olympic-style, multi-trade and technology competition for young students and apprentices in the country.

The 2021 Skills Canada National Competition in Quebec City is a qualifying competition for WorldSkills Shanghai 2021! Most post-secondary competitions and a few secondary competitions move on to WorldSkills — competitors can qualify for a spot on Team Canada at the National competition.

To be eligible for WorldSkills Shanghai 2021, you must be born on or after January 1, 1999 (except in Mechatronics and Aerospace Technology – born on or after January 1, 1996).
