Skills Alberta Virtual Competition - A Showcase for Secondary Students

Introducing Skills Canada Alberta's very first completely virtual competition! The 2020 Skills Alberta Virtual Competition provides a platform for secondary students to continue developing their skills while showcasing their excellence.

Judging for the 2020 Skills Alberta Virtual Competition is now complete. Our live-streamed Awards Ceremony will be hosted at 6:30 p.m. on Friday May 29th.

Key Dates

Contest Descriptions & projects posted April 27th, 2020
Registration opens April 29th, 2020 at 8:30 a.m.
Project submissions due (please check your Contest Description for your specific deadlines) May 15th, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.
Live-streamed Awards Ceremony May 29th, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.

While we know that not all contest areas typically represented by Skills Canada Alberta competitions are suitable for a virtual format, our intent is to provide this unique stand-alone platform in as many areas as possible. The competition areas below will link to their Contest Descriptions when they are posted.

More contest areas may be confirmed in the next couple of days. No new contest areas will be added once registration opens.

Note: This virtual competition is for secondary students only. Information about Team Canada selection will be announced in the future. This is a unique stand-alone competition, and will not progress to another level of competition.
